What I learned from the workshop
“It’s ok if you stop and get off the train and look around. Maybe even take a walk through the forest. The Caribou will eventually move and when you get back on the train you will have more engaged students who appreciate you and your leadership while in the forest. I think our best measure as leaders are how we react when the plan goes sideways. We can win them over with how we react. I think of Victor Frankl’s quote, “You can’t control what happens to you but you can control how you react to what happens to you.” Our reactions are being watched by our students. When we model our inner crazy and our humanity we give our students an invitation to into our true selves which they will appreciate an likely become more invested in our message.”
